NEM Group partners with Digital Markets to boost the digital securities ecosystem

NEM Group and Digital Markets (DIGTL) recently announced our partnership. The integration will enable Digital Markets’ digital securities platform to back their digital asset managing services with the robust Symbol blockchain infrastructure. Simultaneously, Symbol users will benefit from DIGTL professional trading services, open access to their regulated stock exchange network, and use of their global distribution of digital securities/investments platform.
A mature blockchain infrastructure such as Symbol, combined with a dynamic digital asset market such as DIGTL, represents a decisive leap towards realising the new economy.
The digital Markets – NEM integration
Digital Markets connects digital assets with global investors by providing efficient and cost-effective access to a digital securities marketplace. Thanks to its worldwide network of digital securities exchanges, investors can invest in growing markets in a secure and regulation-complying way.
For the last 5 years, Digital Markets has been migrating assets from the capital market system to the open and accessible digital asset ecosystem. The Symbol platform enables the creation of specialized digital assets with configurable properties and a unique identifier. These features enforce logic-based account or asset-based restrictions at a protocol level, making Symbol a natural fit for companies that deal with digital assets and security tokens —for example, Digital Markets.
NEM already has a partnership with Propine, which provides independent digital asset custody and other services for global securities issuers. By partnering with Digital Markets, NEM Group increases its commitment to the tokenization of assets such as digital securities.
The main benefits of the Symbol integration
This integration will enable users to:
- Manage the full lifecycle of security tokens and other digital assets.
- Create and customize their own tokens, including deliverance and maintenance, in a fully regulation-compliant way.
- Access to regulated stock exchanges for public offerings (IPOs) and secondary trading.
- Benefit from professional trading services and guidance.
