XEMsign is a multisignature transaction signing client that can be utilised on the nem network. The client allows users to monitor co-signatory accounts for outgoing transactions from the multisignature accounts it is assigned to. When a pending transaction appears on the network, the client will use the signatory’s private key to sign the transaction.
The client can monitor a number of co-signatory accounts for pending transactions while also optionally applying a predefined ruleset that transactions must adhere to in order to be signed by the client. Rulesets allow for fine grain control over what transactions get signed, while also maintaining the full security provided by Nem’s multisignature solution. Nems on-chain multisignature solution also means the client is never communicated with directly, and rather all information is pulled from and pushed directly to the blockchain, preventing the location of the signing server being exposed.
The client does not require an instance of nis running locally, or a local database, making deployment relatively simple. The client is configured via a configuration file which adds to the ease of use even for non-developers.
